Burns & McDonnell Process Engineering Intern - Water (Oklahoma City) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description

An Intern will work collaboratively with our team to support our Water Group in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will provide support and assistance with requests in support of the business strategy. The Intern will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting process plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.

  • Assist with responses to general questions.

  • Assists with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects including municipal/industrial water and wastewater treatment.

  • Assists in the process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.

  • Applies basic knowledge of commonly usedprocessengineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within thewater and wastewaterengineering services industry.

  • Assists with research and compiles project related data as required by the project managers.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a postsecondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.

  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.

  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.

  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status
